Abstract
Diabetic foot is a serious disabling complication of type 2 diabetes mellitus that easily triggers negative emotions and creates a vicious cycle of poor self‑management and delayed wound recovery. This single‑center prospective randomized controlled study included 126 diabetic‑foot patients split into two groups. The observation group received 8‑week empowerment‑based psychological intervention alongside routine nursing, while the control group obtained only regular care. After intervention, the observation group showed reduced anxiety‑depression levels, better disease self‑management performance and superior wound‑healing results. This patient‑centered intervention delivers valuable evidence for clinical diabetic‑foot rehabilitation nursing.
