Journal Overview and Aims & Scope

Journal Overview

American International Journal of Medicine & Nursing Research (AIJMNR) is an international, open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal. Abiding by globally recognized norms of scholarly publishing, the journal operates on a monthly publication schedule and maintains a commitment to stable, consistent, long-term serial publication.

We implement standardized, transparent editorial workflows and rigorous multi-stage double-blind peer review mechanisms to guarantee the sustained output of high-quality, original clinical and healthcare academic resources. The journal establishes an inclusive and interdisciplinary communication platform open to clinical physicians, nursing practitioners, public health researchers, medical educators and healthcare administrators across the world. It aims to break disciplinary boundaries, facilitate the exchange of innovative clinical research findings, and promote academic dialogue and collaborative innovation within global clinical medicine, nursing and public health academic communities.

Aims & Scope

American International Journal of Medicine & Nursing Research (AIJMNR) is a global, peer-reviewed, open-access interdisciplinary academic journal focused primarily on clinical nursing, clinical medicine and public health, while welcoming eligible interdisciplinary medical and healthcare research across related fields.

The journal welcomes original peer-reviewed research covering all mainstream branches of clinical medicine, nursing and public health, including but not limited to:

Clinical Medicine & Specialized Practice
General clinical practice, internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, emergency medicine, geriatrics, rehabilitation medicine, clinical diagnosis and treatment, disease risk factor analysis, clinical observation, case series research, rational clinical medication guidance, hospital clinical management and medical quality control.

Clinical Nursing Research
Primary nursing, geriatric nursing, pediatric nursing, surgical nursing, emergency nursing, critical care nursing, community nursing, chronic disease nursing, mental health nursing, obstetric and gynecological nursing, wound care, nursing intervention research, nursing education, nursing management, nurse workforce development, evidence-based nursing and patient safety research.

Public Health & Preventive Healthcare
Epidemiology, disease prevention and control, health promotion, population health management, maternal and child health, occupational health, global public health governance, health policy formulation, medical resource allocation, infectious disease intervention and health economics research.

Medical Humanities & Interdisciplinary Healthcare Research
Medical ethics, hospital operation management, health psychology, cross-cultural medical services, medical education, digital medical construction, comparative research on medical systems, patient safety management and medical quality supervision.

Beyond the above core domains, the journal accepts rigorous, academically valuable interdisciplinary works integrating multiple medical and healthcare disciplines. It advocates cross-field research combining clinical intervention, chronic disease management, public health policy, medical education and global comparative medical perspectives. Empirical, theoretical, qualitative and mixed-method research designs are all equally accepted.

Manuscripts focusing merely on independent molecular biological experiments, animal-only laboratory studies, pharmaceutical compound synthesis, medical hardware equipment development, and algorithm models without clinical nursing or medical application scenarios do not fall within the journal’s scope and will be rejected during preliminary screening. The journal refuses to accept human subject research manuscripts without valid formal ethical approval documents.
All manuscripts involving human participants, clinical trials, patient case records or questionnaire surveys must provide official ethical review certification issued by institutional ethics committees. Research without complete ethical certification cannot enter the peer review process. For researchers from regions without formal institutional ethics committees, authors shall submit comprehensive independent ethical statements, which will be separately evaluated by the journal’s professional ethics advisory team.

AIJMNR exclusively prioritizes manuscripts with independent clinical innovation, complete theoretical demonstration or rigorous empirical verification, sound research logic, and distinct clinical, medical policy or public health practical value. Pure repetitive literature collation, superficial descriptive content lacking academic innovation, inconclusive exploratory research, research with insufficient sample size, improperly applied statistical methods and incomplete clinical follow-up data will be rejected during initial screening.

All published works adhere to international academic ethics, open science standards, and rigorous double-blind peer review mechanisms.
